Force Feedback Progress?
-
I see it's been a while since the force-feedback topic has been discussed. Has there been any progress on compatibility with this?
-
@satoshi Sorry, I missed your message on here, as far as I am aware, the Force Feedback is working with most wheels.
-
I have a direct drive wheel for my iracing and its a high dollar 20NM wheelbase. I have tried all the settings and I get no force feeback at all. Any thoughts?
-
@nelliott What wheel are you using? I'm just using DirectInput to drive the force feedback, so it should "just work" with any wheel. However, often times there seems to be issues with certain wheels. I only have a Fanatec wheel to test with.
I saw your other post, sounds like you're using a VRS Direct Force WheelBase, I have no experience with those.
Can you send me the Player.log file that gets stored in
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\LocalLow\HydroSim\HydroSim
? -
@scott-przybylski I cant seem to find that file location as you described. mine doesnt have the appdata after clicking on my username.
-
@scott-przybylski yeah, the appdata and LocalLow folders dont exist. I am able to drive, and run in the sim. I installed as it said, c:\hydrosim and extracted to there, then run the hydrosim.exe, that all works. any advice, i would be happy to send you whatever you need

@nelliott The appdata and LocalLow folders are probably hidden by default. In the settings (in Windows 11), go to the Privacy & Security tab (just above Windows Update at the bottom), select For Developers, select the File Explorer tab and the Show hidden files and folders option should be available to change. The appdata and LocalLow folders will show up after that. If you're using Windows 10, the process should be similar.

Yeah, those folders are hidden by default. However you can just copy/paste the path I posted into the File Explorer address bar as well.

@scott-przybylski i sent the file to you in a message on discord
